b'MAISAM JALJULIMaisam Jaljuli, a social feminist and political activist, is the CEO of Tsofen, a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by Jewish and Arab hi-tech professionals and economists to integrate Arabs into Israels hi-tech sector and bring hi-tech centers to Arab cities.She holds a B.A. in Criminology and Sociology and an M.A. in Educational Leadership. Maisam has a long record of leading a broad range of public campaigns for workers and womens rights and a shared and equal society for Arabs and Jews.Before joining Tsofen, Maisim served as the Chairperson of the womens organization, Naamat, while also serving asCo-Chair of Sikkuy-Aufoq, and as a Board Member of the Histadrut Labor Federation and Itach Maaki-Womens Lawyers for Social Justice. She currently is a Board Member of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel and a member of the leadership of Standing Together, a Jewish-Arab movement that mobilizes people for equality, social justice, and peace. In 2019, Maisim was the recipient of the New Israel Fund (NIF) Guardian of Democracy Gallanter Prize, awarded annually to an outstanding Israeli activist who has made significant contributions to the field of social justice in Israel.Maisim lives with her family in Tira.'
