b'JALAL TOUCHY Jalal Touchy is the current Principal of the Bialik Rogozin School, a school for asylum seekers and children of immigrant workers, that seeks to give the students a great education, protection, and a sense of belonging. He is also the former Founding Principal at Ironey Lamed-Beit Ajyal High School established to set gifted students on a path to excellence. Jalal holds a B.A. in Social Work and an M.A. in Social Work Management and Administration, both from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He received his Teaching Certificate from Kibbutzim College, and an LLB from Kiryat Ono Academic Institute. Jalal is a certified social worker, therapist, and the first Arab principal at a Jewish-Israeli public school.He is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English. He has received various accolades including the 2006 Management Award of Excellence for achievements during his tenure as Head Teacher in Eroney Kaf-Beit, a school for students with special needs, and his executive involvement and participation in a U.S. delegation initiated by the Ministry of Education and Jaffa/Tel-Aviv municipality.I was born in Israel. My family has been here for over 100 years.In my opinion, Israel is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.I encounter the variety of cultures, religions and beliefs on a daily basis,and its easy to be fascinated by it. While the life in Israel has itcomplexities, neither myself nor most of the Israeli people wouldchoose to live anywhere else.'
