b'GABRIELA VAINSENCHER Gabriela Vainsencher is a visual artist who makes large-scale porcelain sculptures, videos, and photographs, and whose work has been widely exhibited in galleries and museums in New York City (NYC), Israel, and Europe. Gabrielas recent solo show of porcelain sculptures with Asya Geisberg Gallery in NYC was reviewed in the Brooklyn Rail and chosen by Artforum magazine as a Must See show. Titled Epic, Heroic, Ordinary, it depicted motherhood in all its monumental and quotidian glory. In the fall of 2023, she will participate in the Jerusalem Biennial and will have a solo show at Baruch Colleges New Media Artspace. Gabriela is the Founder of the Morning Drawing Residency and has written about art for Hyperallergic, Title, and Tohu magazines. She has taught art at Williams College in Williamstown, MA and at Hunter College in NYC. Since 2014, she has led independent tours and lectures about the contemporary art scene in NYC.
