Welcome to our July 2023 edition of the Friends of Israel newsletter.

A few days ago, the Knesset, Israel’s parliament passed the first law pertaining to judicial reform in Israel. Across the political spectrum, there is a consensus that this is a substantive legislative reform. In an unquestionable sign of the strength of Israel’s democracy, for over 6 months, the people of Israel, nearly 500,000 people, 10% of the population, have been taking to the streets, each and every week, for 28 consecutive weeks, voicing their concerns and interests.
